Born March 8, 1958, in Bandabou, Anthony Jamanika has dedicated his life to preserving and promoting Caribbean culture through the arts. From humble beginnings at St. Janschool to becoming a television industry pioneer, his journey represents the power of passion and perseverance.
1977: Anthony began studying music under Ms. Tresfon at the Music School in Emmastad, laying the groundwork for his artistic vision.
1978: Founded Arte ProBa (Arte Teatral Pro Banda Bow) to bring theater to life in Bandabou, starting with children's carnival preparations.
1979: Started working at the Department of Education and Culture while pursuing his artistic dreams.
Opened a music school in San Pedro and established a ballet school in Bandabou with teacher Lucia Schnog. Organized drama courses with Laura Quast and theater maker Gibi Bacilio.
1983: Directed a large-scale Mother's Day show at Centro Pro Arte, showcasing his growing influence in Caribbean theater.
1987: Created "Biriñea den comeback" featuring live bands on stage, revolutionizing local theater productions.
1989: Produced the acclaimed musical "Atami riba dje" with live performance by Doble R, winning prizes at theater festivals in Aruba.
1995: Founded AT&TPS (Antillean Theatre & TV Program Supply N.V.), focusing on local soap operas and music videos.
1996: Entered television with TeleCuraçao, beginning the transition from theater to broadcast media.
2001: Launched TV Kanal Elouisa (named after his grandmother), marking the beginning of dedicated Caribbean broadcasting.
2002: Founded Elouisa Entertainment Network N.V. on July 1st, separating production from commercialization for better business efficiency.
Developed infrastructure plans for six specialized channels covering cartoons, documentaries, news, music, religious themes, and drama.
2010: Obtained a license from the Ministry of Traffic and Transport for closed-circuit television, establishing Elouisa Terrestrial Network N.V.
Present: Broadcasting 24/7 on TDS channel 85, featuring soap operas, comedies, musicals, and documentaries entirely in Papiamentu.
